Fisheye Journeys creates small group trips built around the people, food, traditions, and stories that make a place worth knowing.

The trips we create are built around a simple idea: the most memorable parts of travel rarely happen when you’re standing back and looking at a place from a distance.

They happen when you’re sitting around someone’s table. When a maker shows you how something is done. When a conversation changes what you thought you knew about a place.

Our trips are designed to bring you closer to those moments.

I’m a traveler, photographer, and the founder of Fisheye Journeys.

In 2013, I took my first big solo trip, spending nearly four months traveling through Southeast Asia and India. Somewhere between long bus rides, tiny food stalls, conversations with people I’d just met, and figuring things out as I went, travel became less about seeing as much as possible and more about getting to know a place.

That way of traveling stuck with me.

Years later, it became Fisheye Journeys. I started leading the kinds of trips I was always looking for myself: great food, interesting people, local knowledge, a little spontaneity, and enough comfort to actually enjoy it all.

I’ve since led trips through Cuba, Colombia, and Mexico, and I’m still the person thinking about where we should eat, who you should meet, and what might be better left unplanned.
